BVTI Wins FEMA NCRC Interoperability Contract on PACTS FC1

May 2, 2011 (Haymarket, VA) – Best Value Technology, Inc. (BVTI) was selected to provide Interoperability and Technology Integration support to the Office of National Capital Region Coordination (ONCRC) at FEMA, a DHS component federal agency. BVTI will partner with subcontractor Organizational Strategies, Inc. (OSI), together the BEST VALUE Team, to deliver this task order.

The two-year task order award was issued on a DHS-wide contract vehicle set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and their pre-approved teams of subcontract partners. This IDIQ contract vehicle is called PACTS, for its four functional categories (FCs): Program Management, Administrative, Clerical, and Technical Services. BVTI is the only prime in both Program Management (FC1) and Technical Services (FC4). BVTI provides national preparedness and mission-critical solutions to DHS and its components. This task order represents growing recognition of BVTI’s capabilities in national security and dedicated emergency planning.

BVTI shall assist NCRC and its homeland security partners in assessing interoperability and integration efforts, identifying gaps and shortcomings in these areas, and by conceptualizing, developing and implementing plans to address these and related issues and better coordinate interoperability, integration and planning efforts.

The Office for National Capital Region Coordination is responsible for overseeing and coordinating Federal programs and relationships with State, local, private sector and nonprofit entities in the National Capital Region (NCR).  The NCR includes the District of Columbia, and portions of Maryland and Virginia. Additionally, ONCRC is charged to coordinate domestic preparedness initiatives, with a heavy emphasis on planning and information sharing, across multiple jurisdictions, working with federal, State, local and regional authorities.
